Mustang David

1968 Mustang 390 GT modelled after the car driven by Steve MacQueen in the movie Bullitt. Why did I post it? Cos David bought a 1966 Mustang GT online just like this one. Not sure whether its green but maybe he will do a paint job on it. This car is now known as Bullitt cos of the famed car chase where Steve MacQueen was said to have driven himself without a stuntsman. Here can read more abt the filming of the car chase in details.

Actually the other car in the movie the Dodge Charger is a much cooler car. There was some debate whether a Mustang, even a souped up Mustang, can keep up with the Charger but the Mustang GT has acquired a legendary status as the ultimate musclecar after this movie. But still the Dodge is one cool car.

Funny had a hard time trying to decipher what 'fu te ya ma' in chinese mean but when the article mentioned Bullitt I knew it was the Mustang & that it meant 'Ford wild horse', a pretty close translation. My chinese is getting better by the day thanks to David hehehhehehehehe. David said that all his gfs hated cars after they found out how much he loved them. All I can said is boys like to think that their gfs hate cars cos they love them but its often not the case. Boys oso like to think girls dun understand anything abt cars *roll eyes*

Thanks to Leehom's faithful fan, Pusanna, who saw David attending the premier of Jacky Cheung's Snow Wolf Lake last Friday, we know that David is in HK & probably flying to mainland for the Sprite awards which has been postponed from 4/17 to 4/18. Davidcn has Catherine mv for dling & I really like it, vry understated but meaningful. Beginning to like this song more & more.

Well in 10 days David will be in Singapore & hopefully the Expo concert will be a successful one. It seemed his songs are no 1 this wk so maybe his sg fans are rallying to show more support. Tonight I caught a bit of Leehom interview when he praised his sg fans for being so supportive & apparently there is even sum kinda unofficial fanclub here. Why can't the David fans here be a bit more supportive like Leehom's? Sry but I find u guys vry fractious & clannish.
When David was visiting Malaysia, his fans there were delightfully friendly & helpful with each other. Can't u guys at least put on a united front just for David's visit? Now I probably upset & offended everyone by saying so but it got to be said by sumone. It seemed David too upset & offended everyone in Taiwan by first criticising GMA again & then by saying he did not want to drive his cars there so I shall follow his fine eg

Btw have u noticed how sumone kept changing his mainland concerts' dates to coincide with David's??? Plse he has already gone too far ahead for u to catch up. There's no way u can compete so stop chasing heehee

yeah I think Leehom has an 'official' fanclub in singapore. I remember watching a leehom sporean performance on tv and he said he was wearing his fanclub shirt. What a nice gesture.

I think it's about time that David fans unite and form a fanclub!

hmm..who's this someone who change the dates for his mainland gig? Is it Jay Chou? hehehe

zhaodi, you seem to reserch alot of cars info, do u like cars too? so it's jay chou again? did he do it purposely? how come alway like that? release album has to be close to david . does he want everyone to compare them again, who sold better etc..

I think it must be Jay Chou again. But why does he have to resort to this kind of tactic??? I hope his movie will FLOP BIG TIME at the box office. Heard his acting has been compared to that of a brick in the film.

Coincidentally, Jay Chou also likes cars...

Hey I think we shouldn't use fanclubs to restrict our admiration for David. I know of fanclubs who get their members to pay loads a month just to send the fanclub president and his/her friends overseas to watch their idols. I'm sure no one wants that rite? so why not we have like informal meetings to form a ring, rather than a fanclub, for David? Won't that be more effective? Then no one will be restricted. Think about it.

That's a good idea Julie, anyway I just want David to have a good welcome here that's all. As for cars, my bf's hobby is to restore classic American cars like the Dodge & Cardillac so yeah know a bit abt cars. Oso dun mean to start a fan war here but my cousin who wants to go Jay's concert in China has to keep changing her dates & I noticed they seemed to follow David's. He has now announced his concerts will be Jul-Aug after David said that his will be in Aug. But still it could be a scheduling problem in China.

lol~ & I heard some funny news that Jay fans want him to stop being presenters for certain Japanese products & maybe he shouldnot even star in a manga-originated movie ^^; didn't know he wants to catch up with David XD kinda strange isn't it? atleast that's what I thought since he already got his fame & fortune.. why persue after David?

It's not funny news zoe, as there is indeed vry bitter anti-Japanese protest in China but its really got nothing to do with Jay, poor guy, he's just trying to make a living. The manga movie is called Initial D premiering today but I think its a bit low key cos of the protest. Jay is famous & all but I think what he wants most is respect & maybe he thinks he can get it by competing with David I dun know. I certainly dun respect him at all even though I do think he is quite cute.

sorry~at first I didn't thought it was that serious or anything..
but sounds like the situation getting worse by the min >_< I hope those high diplomat-people would stop blaming each other & start talking seriously~ it's no good to digg the ugly history up & slash at the opponent face.. but I don't want ppl to forget the cruelty of war either.. not to wage more flamming but understanding....
as much as I luff Japanese culture to a certain extent.. I dislike their ignorant about the wars cause by their ancesters..they should be more expose to other countries history as well IMO~
