Sum new promo pixs posted @ davidtao, quite sweet. Its weird he can go from smouldering, cool, sopisticated & sexy on his website to sweet & boyish in these pixs. Much preferred the smouldering ones of cos. David posted 2 more msgs in quick succession in his diary & 4 those who find it diff to access flash website or intimidated by tiny chinese words, posted them @ blog forum.
If u haf not read them, I urge u to do so cos u learn & understand a lot more abt David, his thinking & his new album concept.
Words cannot express the enormous love, respect & awe I have for him so actually at a loss for words so did not post @ DT forum hee hee. I think you will not find another artist like David both in the chinese & western entertainment. He opens his heart so honestly to his fans & friends & its not to gain fame, popularity or to sell more of his albums. He has something to say & it don't matter if people dun want to hear it, he is just going to say it. And for those who want to hear it, he reward them by using the most beautiful musical language in the world to tell them what he wanna say. Anyway just go read his msgs.

I would boldly say that David's voice is not the best in the industry cos I'm thinking of Jacky Cheung who has one of the best voices.
However, to me, the definition of a great singer is not just his voice cos I'm sure we've heard of people who technically hit the right notes and all but doesn't evoke any feelings in the listener. This is where David's voice is special. Okay, I don't know how he does it but I absolutely love listening to the honesty and emotions in his songs! Its very real and it draws you in. And I can listen to his songs non-stop. I have times when I'll listen to other singers but when I get back to his songs, its as if I'm listening it for the first few times. It still has very fresh appeal! Keep it up, David! I look forward to your future albums (being greedy now since I know the latest album will be in my hands in 8 days' time!). =P
Ermmmmmmm think it pointless comparing singers or who has the best voice cos its kinda subjective as u haf say, skybebe, u like David's songs cos of the emotions aroused. Oso even if Jacky Cheung has the better voice, can he sing Dear God or Black Tangerine or Ghost the way David can? They r just two completely different singers.
Don't worry, Zhao. My comment was not comparing singers. Just saying that David is much more than just a singer that hits the right notes. ;O)
oh sry skybebe sound so harsh but just think its unfair to singers to keep comparing, cos it dun matter who's the best so long as the music is good :)
