The show must go on

Unplugged section where another David is given chance to shine. Its not all abt naked chest & glittering outfits, David & his band did sing & play their hearts out. Apparently David forgot a lot of lyrics so he is not totally confident either. Guess sum ppl not comfortable with this more showbusiness David but remember he has to satisfy everybody - his fans, his record co, his managers, his band, his sponsors, the audience. I still think he did vry well.
The concert more showy but not that showy & its still abt the music. The tango actually vry small part of the concert & he only showed his chest 1/4 of the time. Mostly he played his guitar & sang & sang. David is 36 but still vry fit so now is the time for him to show off his bod before he get married & have kids.
Can watch Sohu online interview & footage of concert. Fans told him they thought this concert was diff to Soul Power but just as good so he is satisfied. He also said what he wanted most is to bring to his fans the best music so guess you just have to believe in David.
Here transcript of another interview where he said he might sing Lou Dayou songs in Beijing.
Here can watch short clip where he talked abt one of the China Supergirls (kinda American Idol) who likes to sing his songs, love his goofy grin ^__^ courtesy davidcn

Some comic relief @ 8 days where they compared him to Twins & revealed they are actually avid readers of his forum diary heehee
David Tao vs Twins
This weekend, two pop music powerhouses drop into Shanghai for much-anticipated shows. In one corner, we have Twins, cutesy Hong Kong gals Charlene and Gillian, who would look at home wearing matching pairs of Mickey Mouse ears and licking pastel lollipops. In the other corner is David Tao, sensitive, brooding Taiwanese star, with a bit more credibility on the musical side. We’ve decided to pit these two pop constructs against each other in a battle of the wits (and words), so that you get the most out of your sugar-coated concerts.
Sensitivity – What’s a love song without heartbreak, or a cell phone without Hello Kitty stickers? Here Tao clearly comes out on top – you can almost feel his dewy eyes staring into yours as he brushes the tears from your cheeks.
The Tao of Kittens: David muses on selfless acts of feline preservation. “We both agreed that if we heard the little kitten crying again the next day we would bring it back home.” Talk about a man in touch with his fan base.
Charlene Twin on relationships. “If somebody goes for me that’s not love, and I’m so busy that nothing could happen anyways.” Ouch.
Appreciating the Fans – Recently, Sir Elton John called the Taiwanese ‘savages’ and refused to play a show in Taipei. How do these divas stack up to every florist’s favourite customer? Tao again takes the cake for his kindhearted devotion, or heartfelt excuses.
The Tao of Autographs – “I’m deeply regretful that I couldn’t personally meet every one of you that day in Hangzhou to autograph your CDs. I left feeling quite down and sad that night and I’m sure many of you were very depressed and frustrated as well.” Aw, shucks, he’s a sweetie.
Gillian Twin on splitting up – “Many of our fans think we will split up soon, but we’ve been together four years and time is the best evidence. Maybe when both of us are 30 or we are too old to walk around, we will split up.” Sorry, fans, but 30 isn’t as far away as you might think. They’re actually about 23, not 15.
Appearance – C’mon kids, you don’t listen to this stuff for the music. This is pop, after all, and people didn’t fall in love with Britney for her wealth of talent, did they? The Twins come out on top, for obvious reasons, by a large margin here.
The Tao of hair – “The sun has been out for most of this week in Taipei so it’s hot as heck. The heat is sticky and makes my hair frizzy and difficult to manage which drives me crazy.” You ain’t seen nothing yet, pretty boy.
The Twins on not actually being real twins – “We resemble each other, just like twins...that’s why we’re called ‘Twins’. But we have totally different characters.” Sure you do... now sit on her lap.
And now, a few closing words from our winner, the lovely David: “I will keep all of you in my prayers and hope that all of you are safe and lucid in all you do and strive for. Love one another and be patient, humble and forgiving to those around you. God Bless, DT.” And God help us all.
