According to this english website RMB120 tickets for DT concert @ Nanjing Wutaishan Sports Center Stadium already sold out. Although this website is slow loading, really a worth a visit for his lengthy biography which seems to be translated word for word from chinese. Yeah colon, his 7/7 Shanghai concert clash with Live Earth Shanghai but apparently this will be held at the square in front of the Oriental Pearl Tower with less than 3,000 tickets sold to cover costs. Actually I lost interest when Sarah Brightman was announced as the headline act. Not that I have anything against her but shouldn't they at least get a mainland chinese artist to headline? Also environmentalists are extremely critical abt the concerts saying their staging just create more energy & fuel wastage & increase pollution. Bob Gedolf also could see no point in the concerts unless there is some concrete plan to reduce carbon emission. Also its not really you & me who are killing the earth, its the big industrial corporations with their greed for more profits & world domination. They are the ones who should be aware, maybe Al Gore can stage the concerts in front of their offices ^__^
