DT on air (2)

So happy today cos listen to David spoke in english for almost an hour. He was the guest at Star Lounge @ ICRT. He has the cutest accent but kinda overrun his words sometimes ^__^ It was crazy cos they were having a contest to win tickets to F&F2 - Tokyo Drift & the person calling in had to imitate the sound of racing car. The guy who called in was terrific even going from gear to gear & he was won. Then he told David that his new album was awesome esp the rap at the end of Wan Bu Liao. David was vry sweet & thanked him. Can't really remember what he said in the program cos I was kinda mesmerised by his command of english *__* but the dj said he was glad David gone back to vocal in this album then he corrected himself by saying not really going back but I knew what he was trying to say. Beautiful is kinda similar to the first album with its strong vocal emphasis but that's all. They have completely different style. David said that the most important thing to him when making an album is not the style but the feel.
After the break they played Finally & the dj asked abt the title & David said really the title should be Deja vu but it was a bit clique so he retained the original name when he was writing it. Then Marry me today was played & David revealed that he was going to sing the song alone but after the song was completed, he realised it was about wedding so he decided to get a girl to sing too. His first choice was Jolin. Then I think they played Walk On whiich I am liking more & more. David said that the whole album was mixed in NY by Mick Guauski but he did not fly there. They communicated online & it was first time he did something like this. Finally cos it was Father's Day, the dj asked him to dedicate a song for his dad & he chose Olia. He said he used Olia cos he was trying to match the chorus to O_L_I_A & he didn't know if it was a real name. He even went online to search & the results only showed the name of a Russian woman. It dun sound funny here but it was vry funny when he said it. He is just so adorable, maybe I can give him a lesson on how to use search engines heehee Anyway just showed how dedicated he is with his songwriting.
