6 nights to Beijing

My adorable idol, wish I could wipe his face for him heehee. David will be guest @ sina on 9/17 1300 to chat abt his Beijing concert. Anyway seemed all good seats @ Beijing concert sold out so its great ^__^ Also Sina contest to win his tickets but in chinese. I think Beijing concert should also be just as enjoyable as Shanghai, envy those who will be able to see David in a week's time. Here's more transcript of Sina interview, must be really long, but this section rather interesting as 1st time I read abt his dad not wanting to help him in movies. Anyway the interviewer asked since his dad already famous, why David did not go into movies. David said no 1 he is not handsome enough, no 2 dun want to rely on his dad's fame, no 3 his dad also dun want to help him. David also said his dad not the sort to praise him all the time but rather criticise him. At the time he felt ashamed & cried alot but now he felt thankful to his dad. When he became more successful, his dad told him not to do it cos of money or fame or to aim for no 1.
Anita Mui also came up & he was asked abt their relationship. David said maybe its because ppl were wondering why he was the pallbearer for her funeral when he only known her for a few yrs & also the creative HK media. David said he always treated Anita as his elder sister & even when she asked him to called her Anita it was hard for him not to call her Sister Mui. Even though they hardly see each other, David was vry grateful for Anita's support from his first album. When asked why he became her pallbearer, David said it was requested from the HK side & also seemed to be from Jacky Cheung, they hoped he would come so he accepted. Apart from Anita, David dun seemed to have any gossip in the news. David said he is not that kinda celebrity who seek to be written up in the news & not much to write anyway. Even if the media were to follow him all the time, not much to write abt or take pixs.
He also said that he was vry fearful of Lao Dayu when he was young as his dad knew him, it was only when he was older that he realised that Lao Dayu is a good & caring man. He felt his generation vry lucky to have musicians like Lao Dayu as examples. As for the next generation, he is not sure if there will be any such good examples. The interviewer asked if he confident to be others' good example, David said all he wants to do is work hard & do his best. All he hope for is that his concerts are memorable & his albums can reflect today's society.
So if u read this & still disappointed with him, then its alrite cos David will not force anyone to like him nor will he turn back time to morphed back into the David that he was before. David has his own life, his own dreams, his own projects, his own journey to complete. If you would like to, you can come along for the ride, admire him, love him & give him support & he will reward you with music he hope you will enjoy. So far he has not disappointed me yet so I am still around, but I can understand if some decided that David is no longer their idol.
David has goals to meet too, he must sell his albums & concert tickets. You think he dun worry whether or not ppl still want to buy his album & attend his concert. Every artist no matter how popular worry constantly abt their sales. How else are they going to pay their bills? I can go on forever but what is the point cos its not going to change anyone's mind. Just accept that David is not going to change back to what you feel he should be. If he does, then he is betraying himself & his music & there's already too much betrayal in chinese entertainment so I hope David stay resolute & do what he feel is rite & not just give the public what they want to hear.
