An Inconvenient Truth

There's a documentary called An Inconvenient Truth which everybody should really go and see. In a nutshell, it tells the truth about global warming that unless we change our ways, the damage we have inflicted on Mother Earth will be IRREVOCABLE in ten or more years. I always thought David's The Art of War is talking about this, but he seemed to have a different interpretation but still the lyrics fit. Anyway there is this guy on CNN radio who played a clip off the docu where it mentioned that global warming will eventually put Shanghai under water & his comments were:
This is what would happen to Shanghai. Does anybody really care? I mean, come on. Shanghai is under water. Oh, no! Who's gonna make those little umbrellas for those tropical drinks?
That is why free speech is so important, its when people start criticising & giving opinions that you get the real truth. Humans are not tolerant, liberal & open-minded by nature, we have to learn to be so. I started this blog because I knew about global warming, about the injustice of the world & sometimes I get really depressed about it. Then I got to know about David & I felt that he is someone who also knew about such things but instead of feeling depressed, he is trying to do something about it. That is the main reason why this blog is in his name. It did not start out as a fanblog but it kinda evolved that way. So on free speech, there can be no negotiation on this blog. I will now criticise David ^__^ I feel its time he trade in his 7 cars for a solar-powered one. I mean he won't want his beloved Shanghai to be buried under water, rite?

Here's trailer of An Inconvenient Truth on youtube:

I do agree with your ideals.

However,I also believe in fate, ultimate destiny, and the uncontrollable change of dynamics (whatever that means) on earth to achieve equilibrium.

It's sad to hear about a possible world war IV. It's upsetting to see our world being destroyed. It's important to create awareness, so people will take action to make the world a better place.

Yet, nothing we do can be 100% fair. All we can do is try our best. Helping one person deprives another. Sometimes, all we can do is watch. I don't know... Just some thoughts.

Somehow i got reminded of this movie http://www.roadtoguantanamomovie.com/,
it's not hard to imagine how long those prisoners will have to suffer in silence if no one ever spoke up for them, i guess here is a gd example of the importance of free speech. It's gd thing that they're showing here in sg. :)

Even though we think we can do nothing to help cos the problem is too big but actually if we all do a little, it will definitely help.

Thank you blog master. I am so glad that you wrote about this global issue, global warming.

We have started seeing the terrible effects from global warning around the world. We have abused/polluted our world too much in the past centuries. It may a bit too late to solve all problems. But do believe me; everybody can help saving our world for the next generations. We can simply start by trying to recycle what we use in everyday life (i.e. paper, bottles) as much as we can. Can everybody help, please?

And I also wish my next car will be hybrid, ethanol or even electric car.
