Actually the fracture seems to be lower than the joints so he can still bend his finger which mean he could still play the guitar if he wanna, but I think please David just let it heal & be patient. He is so incredibly considerate to post a msg so swiftly to thank & reassure his fans. I just wish there were more english msgs of well wishes on his forum. Nvr underestimate the power of the net, its instant & immediate effect. David understands this very well, so does Brian May of Queen.
What happened was I watched this week's American Idol cos they were doing Queen. I thought it would be hilarious & it was to a certain extent. The first guy sang classic Queen - We will rock you. There was a little footage of him practising with Queen & Brian telling him he didn't want to change the song. Already I felt that was strange cos I never thought any musician would object to a different arrangement of his song. Anyway the AI fans all thought it was 'rude' of Brian not to 'change' his song & send him emails. So Brian immediately respond thru his website - what a nice guy, a true gentleman. Btw there was 1 good performance at the end, Paris singing Show must go on. Ppl kept dissing her outfit, her hair, her off singing, etc, but she gave me goosebumps cos she seemed to be singing to Freddie Mercury - his spirit lives on & the show must go on. Also the spirit of David cos inspite of his hurt finger, he will definitely put on the very best show TONIGHT!

1 day to HK Love Can concerts

David @ rehearsal in HK & press interview. Seriously cuteness ^__^ Oh he left msg @ his web too, so soon, seriously spoiling his fans heehee watch out David cos we can get used to it *__*
Here can see the special bandage but his hand no longer so swollen *thank god* David said he will still shake hands with fans using his left hand. Hope fans dun get too enthusiastic & grab his right hand cos it can get permanently damaged if it dun set properly. He had a screw inserted & joked that it will set off security @ Coliseum. He also said friends gave him lotsa nicknames including Brokefinger Mountain *so adorable*
He does look vry happy & his voice in great shape as he sang Love Can & Rain. Apparently his mom had always been against him riding bike & now will try & force him to sell it. But David said he will not sell his 2 bikes but he changed his mind buying a 3rd. He will continue to ride his bike but not so fast again. Wonder what bike he ride, hope its a Harley *dreamy sigh*
As mentioned in his msg he's all ready to rock HK & will bring some surprises including Bee Gees medley WOW! Depending on conditions, he could also play the guitar. So happy that he is all bright & cheerful. He does seem to be getting more & more cheerful. In the news clip it was sweet when he tried to hold the mike awkwardly with his right hand, so awfully cute. Also love the tee he is wearing, vry rockish. YEAH MY IDOL ROCKS! ^_+

2 days to HK Love Can concerts

Less distressed today so sorry for the rant below *sigh* but these things happened. Thank you so much phiii & star in Comments for your thoughtful reassurance abt Love Can concerts, for sure you guys will have a wonderful time. I just don't wanna be one of those fans who feel their idol cannot do any wrong, so if I have any misgivings I prefer to voice it out. I don't wanna put David on a pedestal. I want him to be human, contradictory, struggling for his music & despairing of the current situation in Chinese entertainment. This make him more real to me than just this gorgeous image with an impossibly angelic voice.
Although I do take umbrage at ppl who again accused him of 'copying' Rain from some obscure Japanese band >"< David was in LA the whole time when he was writing & producing I'm OK so how on earth did hear this song? Rain mv won MTV award for best Chinese video, so why didn't somebody complained abt the plagiarism? Why wait till now? Cos its so not true.
Also I listened to the anime songs they accused him of 'copying' for Season of Loneliness & they reminded me of the banjo version of Moon River. There are certain similarly sounding chords in all the songs cos they all dealt with loneliness & longing. Anyway it seemed David wrote Season of Loneliness when working on Black Tangerine even before those 2 songs came out. Next time do some research before taking such a cheap shot at him again. Heehee its good to defend my wonderful idol cos no matter what I do believe in his honesty & sincerity. He will never lie to his fans for sure.
I am so pleased Edison Chen got to star in Grudge 2 & so hilarious that the Japanese director Takashi Shimizu picked Edison after seeing him in Initial D. Why? Cos Edison was supposed to be the lead role in Initial D but got demoted & always thought he was such a good sort not to complain or back out of the movie. So for once the right person got awarded & Edison landed his 1st Hollywood role. Actually it makes sense it should be Edison. He can speak English & looks that could appeal to the West like Keanu Reeves. I believe Edison has some Portugese blood. Anyway good luck to him!
