David had quite a few autograph sessions over the weekend. It was vry hot so he changed into this purple tee. It looks good on him cos he is tanned but a bit small, maybe his skills in washing clothes failed him & it shrank heehee Anyway I am in really good mood cos I just
read that he most likely collaborated with Peter Chan on his movie next year!!!!! Peter Chan is a director I really like almost as much as WKW. He directed 2 of my fav chinese movies - He's a woman, She's a man & Comrades, Almost a Love Story.
His most recent movie is the musical
Perhaps Love & they met when Peter wanted to invite David to write music for this movie. Unfortunately David was too busy with his concerts & guess what? Perhaps Love won Best Original Score @ HK Film Award last yr. Wow imagine David was that close to getting his 1st film award ^__^ Anyway Peter Chan has his own company called Applause in HK & its doing extremely well. He has been producing box office movies like The Eye, Golden Chicken & McDull. So it will be wonderful if David can have such great support for his 1st movie. Hopefully all goes well with his movie dream.
Anyway Beautiful is making my life beautiful. I just wondered if those critics who put this album down as dull with no memorable tracks listened to the same album? When they said memorable track, do they mean melody that stick in your head after listening? The reason I love this album is most of the songs do not stay in yr head. They just leave behind memories of tenderness, melancholy, bittersweetness, a lingering sense of loss & an unbearable lightness of being ... heh always wonder what that phrase mean after reading the book, now I know *__* Review coming up soon.
