Poor Lynn, now you are even more angry that he allowed himself to be pictured half naked ^__^ The independent label he was with, Shock Records, was taken over by EMI so David really had not much choice. Yes he could DIY his album like Lou Dayou but that might mean he sink into obscurity as there would not be the budget for promotion. This is the real world we live in where money counts so one need to compromise to compete. Signing up with EMI dun always mean $$$$$$, depends on how big the contract. Used to be lotsa fanfare abt how big the recording contract but think now ppl realised the bigger the contract the more money you have to generate for the company.
I would bet David's contract with EMI is not as big as most other singers so he can still take his time with his album & not do so many endorsements. He can even take his time with his concerts even tho concerts make the most $$$$$$, just think if you charge $20 per ticket & even if you sold just 1000, you make $20,000 in one night. That's why singers from new to old are all rushing to China to hold concerts, the media called it sarcastically as 'digging gold in China'. So have to consider all these before accusing David of selling out. He went to the Prada show cos he was invited & they sponsored clothes for him to wear in magazine features.
This green sweater is agnes b so maybe they sponsored some of his clothes too. Part of David's career to be seen as glamorous as he IS a celebrity. If he remained as an unsung musician, you probably will not have heard of him, much less be his fan.
