As sumone complained @ DT forum, the dj was rather overwhelming & kept asking him questions. Also there were 2 online performances by his fans so he only answered a few questions but they were rather relevant ones. First where else will he take his concert apart from TW, HK, Sin & Mal. He said he will considered other cities in China if there is enough audience. 500 cannot realistically cover the cost so it has to be in the thousands at least but he encouraged fans who live in chinese cities to leave msgs or write in & they will really consider if there is enough demand.
David said that if he could & even tho its exhausting, he would of cos want to stage concerts in every city but of cos this is not possible. The most exciting is that he IS considering doing concerts in US esp LA where he know there is a large Asian population. He asked those who lived in US to tell him where they live but only a fan from Canada answered. Again David said that he may also consider Canada as there is also a large Asian population but whether if its Vancouver or Toronto will have to depend on the demand. So english speaking fans living in US or Canada, now its the time to be proactive cos David always mean what he say, if you really want to see David in US, you have to let him know NOW. If you going to procrastinate & think oh maybe if he says he is coming, then I just wait till he come.
The other thing David said that when he go into movies, it will be 100% so NO CONCERTS & this could be as early as 2 yrs away cos he may not wait until his 40th birthday. So this could be the ultimate LAST time he staged concerts & once he goes into movies, its unlikely he will make a comeback. Even if he dun succeed in movies, he will probably just be producing as he did say he is not even sure ppl will still wanna buy his albums. David again confirmed that he is working on his next album & that if all goes according to plan, it will be released early next yr. So can see David is trying to wrap things up so he can go into his first love - movies. I actually look forward to David in his new role as film director/producer as I do enjoy good, provoking movies. Of cos David said that he may even write & produce the music for his movies.

Showing off another adidas top in the studio. During the chat, David said he most disliked photo sessions cos of the poses & clothes he had to wear. Agreed that sumtimes he looked stiff in pixs but when he is natural he is just devastating. He also said that while he is of cos pleased fans said he is goodlooking & his clothes are nice, he is even happier that they discussed his music & tell him it has changed their lives. So left msg @ DT forum that his music HAS changed my life really. So happy that I got to know of him & write this blog abt him. This blog is not so I can meet him or get to know him cos he uses his music to communicate & that's such a wonderful thing that even not knowing or meeting him, he can be so important in my life & I want the whole world to know there is such a person.

BEIJING, Sept. 7 -- The Taiwan godfather of music, David Tao, has revealed that his concert tour in Beijing on 10th September will be divided into four parts. The four parts are called Destory, Harmony, Future and Hope. Yesterday on 97.4FM, the Beijing Music Station, David's songs were broadcast all day long, together with friends' opinions about David. He held a huge sellout concert in Shanghai last month, his his first concert on the Chinese mainland after eight years in the business. “I know that the Beijing audience has an ear for rock music. So I will sing more rock tunes in Beijing's concert. A different Tao Zhe will appear on the stage.” He promised to rock Beijing after the Shanghai concert. He is expected to sing some excerpts of Peking Opera to please fans in Beijing. At the press conference for David Tao's Beijing concert, Jay Chou, another pop star and David’s strong competitor, sent his best wishes to David for the success of the concert. Fans and media have long been comparing David and Jay as they are both good singer/songwriters and they both sing R&B. David says he and Jay admire each other’s musical talent and are good friends. No matter what the critics say, it’s harvesting time for David Tao who composes and sings songs that always best exhibit his talent and passion.
I hope those going to Beijing concert can understand the concept of his Love Can concerts & how his outfits are incorporated into the 4 parts & not just go on abt how grand & glittering they are, or that the Soul Power concerts were so much simpler & better. Open your minds & listen without prejudice. This is an artist who will not do things simply for the sake of doing them. There has to be reason & harmony. David even said that he has considered doing some Beijing opera to please his Beijing fans but it felt forced & he has now considered not doing it just for the sake of doing it. So you see, this is David.
