TW concert countdown - 5

*high fives* to Mandy, zoe & missred, such true DT fans ^__^ If you think abt it, a doll can be seen as just 3D extension of a poster. David is a singer/songwriter, everything he does is commercialism, how else is he going to sell his songs, albums & concerts. Even releasing an album is a commercial act. So long as he dun totally sell out to commercialism, should still be acceptable.
'I tend to focus more on technique and sounding good, but David told me that what's most important is feeling, and I should be free when I sing.'
This is what he advised Kaira Gong so no matter what ppl say, I know David has not changed, he still wants wholeheartedly to give his audience good music.
Thanks to Davten Yahoo Grp who alerted abt David appearing on TVBS Golden Top Hits, last repeat 10am today. Altho pre-recorded, still heartwarming to see & hear him talk. He looked a bit fey, kinda sad-eyed but still meltingly charming. They showed footage of Soul Power, Love Can & 2000 I'm OK concerts. Then they asked ppl in the street what DT song they wanna hear & Black Tangerine was the fav *yeah yeah* David said he rather not sing his less popular songs cos he is afraid they are only familiar to a few fans. I am a little surprised he has so little confidence in his songs. I am only a fan for 2 yrs but I know & love all his songs. I even know & love most of the songs he written for others. I am sure if he were to sing Angeline, Do I Do I, Our Love, Say Goodbye, I Believe, Lullaby, most of the concert audience will be delighted.
Of cos there is the question of whether he will strip & I dun know, I hope not cos such a Rain/Bi thing now that its just got tacky. I say leave it to the younger idol singers. Btw the male host in TVBS is I believe mbr of 5566. Anyway they kept calling him 'big brother' & David said just call him Tao Zhe. But this weirdo kept calling him 'big brother' vry blatantly like trying to emphasized David's age & its funny cos he dun look that young. Probably only a few yrs younger but looks older & David of cos looks simply wonderfully youthful. Maybe just me but I always have bad vibes abt 5566, they seemed to resent other singers' popularity but guess just being real sensitive heehee cos David seemed blissfully unaware of his faux pas.
David still working on the song for Honda Civic & the website has a short clip which is mostly the female singer who will be singing it but at the end there's abt a sec of David playing piano with closeup of his hands which is totally mesmerising. I honestly dun think David is getting more commerical at all, in fact I wanna thank him for not giving up on good music, for doing the album he wanted to do, the concerts he wanted to stage, for not trying to increase his popularity, for not going after awards, for believing that his fans believe in him, for being brave about the music direction he wants to take, for everything he has done so far.
