Interactive calendar with only the TV appearances. He will also hold an autograph session on 11/19 to sign Love Can posters. But so far no Sg promo as yet *tear* As find myself relatively free now, will be able to catch most of the TV appearances *yeah yeah*
As for Sula & Lampa will try to translate soon for u Jae. Actually the song more abt relationship between famous ppl & media. David sang abt 2 men in Italy called Sula & Lampa cos the word 'paparazzi' originated from an Italian movie by Frederico Fellini called La Dolce Vita. Lampa phonetically sounded like a taiwanese swear word while Sula is also taiwanese term for 'loser' I think. David when asked why he wanted to use a swear word in the song said that since politicans in Taiwan were using the swear word freely on tv, he should be able to use it in a song as well *wicked David* heehee
The lyrics penned by David & WaWa described Sula & Lampa as silly & cowardly but pretending to be cool. David said they are like 2 obedient dogs always following him - left right left right - that they are both cute & frightening. So just like the uneasy relationship between famous ppl & the media, they cannot do without each other & while media is always following the stars, they are also the ones providing news so the stars can stay in the limelight. So even tho the song is a vry catchy pop tune, the meaning is actually multilayered & sophisticated, not so simplistic & self-serving as chastising the media for being intrusive. Personally I felt the 2 songs written abt paparazzi by David & Jay only revealed the vast & ever growing difference between them.
This rather interesting article abt which record company is best for Bibi, the Supergirl who loves to sing David's songs. She is still considering her options while the other two have already been signed up. They picked EMI for her cos they felt that of all the record companies, EMI has more singers who are not noted for looks but talents & longevity like David ^__*
