Okay got a bit confused with his appearances in China cos there were so many of them. The one above where he is wearing his romantic blush-pink jacket is CCTV Mid-Autumn Festival concert on 9/26. The one below is the 9th Asian Art Festival in Nantong City on 9/24.
DT also has appearances on 9/28 & 9/29 in China. Will post if there are pixs available. I think he is also scheduled to appear in RTHK Chinese Song Award in HK but not sure when is the date. He has also been nominated in some CCTV music award for Most Popular Male Singer but not sure if he will attend. Anyway below youtube vid of his CCTV Mid-Autumn appearance where he sang Moon over my heart. It wasn't as bad as some fans were claiming. He made some adjustment where he couldn't reached the high notes and sang in a lower key. Overall it was alrite & just awfully cute when he kept smiling to himself when he missed the high notes. He really looked vry romantic & the way he sauntered abt the beautiful stage is just so DT. The fireworks were wonderful too. At least he didn't opt out & lipsynched. I think he knows if he did that, his fans would be even more upset. Even though his voice wasn't at his best, this is actually one of my favorite live DT performances only cos he just looked too damn cute everytime he smiled to acknowledge that he wasn't singing well ^__^

Following DT
Finally some pixs of David @ 9/26 concert. Apparently he didn't look too good & his voice was not at his best. Probably still recovering from his cold. In fact the whole concert has been criticised for not delivering on the hype. Jackie Chan, Andy Lau & Tony Leung rumored to be performing did not show up. Worst, many of the performers did not sing live. At least David did even if his singing was not up to par.
Some really nice pixs (credit & courtesy as always DTFC) of another performance in China, not sure where or when but he looked amazing. I don't know why he has so many appearances in China at the moment but he must be extremely fatigued. Hope he has time to rest. I can only guess it could be obligations he has to fulfilled for his sponsors as he has a few more concerts in China. He looked to have lost a bit too much weight for my liking, also I noticed that his voice suffers when he is too scrawny. Hope he remembers to eat more & build up his strength for the upcoming TW concerts nxt mth.
Here's an interesting article on the Hennessy Artistry Asia Tour where David is mentioned:
Musical fusion of East and West implemented in Shanghai
www.chinaview.cn 2007-09-27 10:01:18
BEIJING, Sept. 27 -- Today, the idea of blending the East and the West is more attractive and practiced than ever before. Fusion kids are supposed to be smarter and more beautiful. Fusion restaurants are popular. A few Oriental elements add a lot to all those super expensive fashion show costumes. It seems that everything has a little bit of the East and the West.
Music might be the best field to practice this blending, since "music is a common language." Last Friday that idea was implemented on the Shanghai stop of the Hennessy Artistry Concert Tour Asia which began on March 23.
The tour has brought together various kinds of musicians including Asian music sensation Tata Young, Australian pop group Human Nature and talented R&B singer David Tao.
It has made stops in China's Hong Kong, Taipei and Malaysia's Kuala Lumpur so far and will continue to most of the major cities of China including Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Ningbo. In December, it will return to Shanghai for the final concert.
Musicians ranging from DJs to pop singers have traveled from all over the world to participated in these concerts. Last Friday, the main players were upcoming star Tank from Taiwan, Hong Kong-based American DJ Gruv, and European electronic dance trio Karma.
The music of Karma integrates highly energetic dance beats with a trancy electronic sound reminiscent of the early 1990s.
"We are honored to be here," said the keyboardist Pipi. "It is our first time in Shanghai and we really want to take this opportunity to meet as many people as we can. Hopefully, we can work with some Chinese artists here. Who knows what will come of that."
Founded in Croatia in 1999, the group has won many prizes including the Best Dancing Singers and Audiences' Favorite Singer in Europe. Their music is joyful and vibrant.
DJ Gruv, real name Derald Reynolds, has been behind the decks since the age of 13. His music is a melting pot of various styles including funky tribal, tech house, reggae and hip-hop and R&B. With uplifting and easy-to-dance-to beats, he cheers up the crowds and leads them to his musical world.
Throughout his teenage years he was a bedroom DJ getting the occasional house party gig until he joined a local DJ group in North Carolina at university. DJ Gruv moved to Hong Kong in 1997 and has been playing at trendy clubs and parties ever since.
The key performer was Tank who is famed for his composition skills, his lyricism, his technical abilities but in particular his beautiful voice.
The tour will visit Beijing tomorrow and return to Shanghai in December. Surprise guest artists are to be announced.
(Source: Shanghai Daily)
For some reason, probably cos of his sincerity & respect for music, David's partnership with commerical music projects usually has respectable & solid success. His music journey is slowly veering away from the far too gossipy, sensationalised Chinese entertainment world. It's a journey that I am glad to follow where he goes ^__^

DT & moon
Another mention of David's Moon represents whose heart @ cctv.com:
Odes to the moon
Source: CCTV.com
09-25-2007
The mid-autumn festival, or Moon Festival, is being celebrated across China on Tuesday. Chinese people believe that on this day the moon is at its fullest and brightest of the whole year. There are a number of songs relating to the moon. Chinese people like to compare the moon to beautiful people - and beauty in its different guises.
No.5 Yellow Moon
A yellow moon in the blue sky is a typical scene appearing in fairy tales. Singer Tarcy Su refers to the yellow moon in her hometown: "Under the yellow moon in my hometown, there's nothing to worry about." Indeed, many immigrants have fond memories of their hometown - featuring the loveliest of moons.
No.4 Crescent Moon
"Crescent Moon" was first sang by mainland singer Liu Huan - and the song soon became popular across the country. Many other singers - such as Taiwan's Eric Moo - later sang their own interpretations. "Crescent Moon" recalls the country scenes of beautiful riverside towns. It is also an ode to relatives who remain there.
No.3 Look at the Moon's Face
This love song was Taiwan singer Meng Tingwei's biggest hit. It compares the moon's variability with the changes of the heroine's moods. Meng's gentle voice - and the melancholic song - moved many Chinese people.
No.2 The Moon Represents My Heart
This was the late diva Teresa Teng's hit song over two decades ago. "The Moon Represents My Heart" is now a classical Chinese tune. R&B singer David Tao adapted it recently - weaving in trendy R&B beats. In this song, the moon represents deep and faithful love.
No.1 May Love Last
The title and lines of the lyrics are from a poem by Song Dynasty poet Su Shi. He laments the parting of beloved relatives, friends and lovers - while reunions are short-lived and far between - just like the moon is full only a few separate days in one month. The poem ends with: "If our hearts are linked with each other, we can share the same moon though we are miles apart." The song matches the poem with a tune - turning the literary classic into a pop classic.
Still can't find his elusive pix probably cos the mainland media in a tizzy abt Rain/Bi :P but proof that he did appeared in this personal blog ^__^

Moon represents DT's heart
Apparently David's Moon represent whose heart is one of the songs voted as the most representative of Mid-Autumn Festival during the CCTV Mid-Autumn arts event. Critics also praised the song as vry suitable as it is melodic, romantic, has sweet lyrics & on top of that, it is both eastern & western inspired. This should be the reason why David is invited to participate. So again it is his music that is the reason. Always with DT, it is his music, nothing else. The reason one can always find a DT song for any occasion is that he writes from the heart abt the real things happening in life. He is also able to put in his experiences of a Chinese person surviving in the international world without being too overt. Everything is vry subtle & you only realised when you find that usually you can relate to his music under any circumstances. This is the difference that DT brings to his music. It could be the only difference but for me it is enough.
Can't find any pixs of David rehearsing for the event only five million pixs of a strangely tattoed Rain/Bi. Anyway as usual DTFC come up with goods with these 2 nice shots of David during Guiyang concert. He looks mesmerising, vry DT ^__^.

Te quiero DT
David appearing in bigscale concert on 9/22 in China. Like the simple outfit & not sure why he is holding a yellow flower but kinda cute ^__^ He sang Susan said, Rain & I love you. Tonight he will be participating in the Asian Art Festival in Nantong City which is quite a grand affair like Spring Night. It is actually a multi-nations affair with performers from many countries & David is credited as American Chinese. He will be singing Moon represent whose heart as it also celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival. Then on 9/29 he will attending RTHK Chinese Song Award in HK. Whew! Quite a schedule but at least we get to see recent pixs & maybe even some clips.
Sry but haven't been in a mood for blogging for the longest time. Probably cos its become less of an outlet & more updating. I do not want it to become a chore, something I have to do no matter what. So I didn't force myself to blog when I dun feel like it just for the sake of updating. Not to say that I am tired of David. On the contrary, the recent interviews just reaffirmed my love & respect for him. Such an extraordinary yet ordinary man. I love his uncomprisingly approach to life & his work. Although he faces an uphill battle with his determination to inject realism & meaning to his music than just entertainment, I am so grateful he is still around to prove that it is possible. He seems a lot more relaxed now & it could be that he decided to stop trying to please a fickle chinese public. Hopefully he will go indie once he fulfilled his 3-album contract with EMI.
In Love with Tao Garden already available for viewing online & so far I think its the best interview. Nothing vry dramatic is revealed, just a relaxed chat with 2 vry matured ppl who understand all too well the chinese entertainment world. Although its a promo for his TW concerts but both David & Taozi only marginally touched on it. Mostly they chatted abt the demands of relationship among celebrities & movies. David demonstrated his kitchen friendly side ^__^ & looked much too delectable in his white suit. I think Taozi thought so as she kept on abt the allure of men in the kitchen *__*
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Be a University Guy was really fun & entertaining & David looked heartbreakingly shuai. He strummed & sang Close to you at the end for a girl called Catherine who was so touched she cried *_* He remembered that she studied I think its German & asked her to say someting to him & then he thanked her also in that language. Actually the interviews revealed a few more intimate details abt DT. He is lactose intolerant, dislike the taste of fish in his soups & he is far more multi-lingual than he let on.

DT Guiyang concert
Pixs of Guiyang concert which has received good reviews & fans reported satisfied by his performance. As usual he squeezed a girlie which I am beginning to find creepy >"< Does he has a girlie fetish or what? All the girls he selected seemed young enough to be his daughter, maybe nxt time he might wanna consider inviting someone closer to his age.
Also much as I like Kewei, must agreed with Tianxi that they looked extremely awkward when they tried to be intimate. Its not just the age difference but they have vry little chemistry. Remember Joanne the volinist from Soul Power concert?
She definitely had more going on with David & we kept wanting to see more of them. Actually people chemistry is vry hard to define but quite brazenly one must be able to accept something going on physically with the couple without feeling sick ^__^ Quite frankly the idea of Kewei & David as a couple makes me queasy. However I always like the idea of Joanne getting together with David even if its just fantasy. Anyway it appears that David will be appearing in the 9th Korea-China-Japan Asian Art Festival held in Nantong City on Sep 24 which is quite strange if true as he dun really has the credential to appear considering he is Taiwanese American not mainland Chinese.

1 day to Guiyang concert
Oh yeah I'm back. My cold almost gone, hope David is feeling better too since Guiyang concert is tomorrow night. He looks amazingly, heartwrecking fine here. Nvr noticed he has vry nice dimples b4 *__* More great pixs here which is kinda promo blog for Taozi's entertainment program. Also watch preview -- this man is such a charmer *sigh*
Just love this moody shot! Program should be screened pretty soon & hopefully it will be uploaded like the other programs he went on. I watched Kangxi Lei Ling & Lollipop already & both extremely enjoyable. David as usual was vry entertaining & humorous. I liked Lollipop a little more only cos David sang & strummed his guitar. The contestants were all fairly insufferable but David bore it well even teasing one who was scared of singing in english. He was quite funny & mischevious. They put on 7 skits using his songs & he picked the one I liked best as the winner ^__^ This already up @ youtube but here are some links to watch, thanks & credit to DTFC:

Part 3
He was supposed to sing @ Kangxi but by that time he already had a sore throat so he didn't although he brought his guitar. He also brought a roomful of TW fans & it was vry touching to watch their interaction. They asked abt the rumors & he answered vry simply & honestly, also with a touch of disdain he didn't bothered to hide. He probably knew the whos & whys behind the rumors but chose to maintain a dignified silence & didn't point any finger. It was funny when he described his reaction to their questioning as fielding a ball in baseball like a famous TW player. Also when he described his after-concert celebration like a battle so pretend to shoot himself & die -- VRY ADORABLE haha This also on youtube but easier to watch here as not so many parts. Link credit & thanks to DTFC.
Finally a look at his creation which looks yummylicious like its creator hubba hubba ^__^ Anyway good luck to DT for his concert tomorrow!

DT & guitars
DT surrounded by his beloved guitars. Just love it! David loves all his guitars but not as much as his cars it seemed. He will let others strum his guitars although he will standby & watch but he will not lend his cars to anyone. He will get extremely angry if his gf damaged his guitar but if she will to slam his car's door then its OVER. Well I guess he got his priorities if not rite then at least vry much in character ^_^ Still the writer of the article did note that David was vry careful abt removing his guitars from the cases & let out an involuntary yell when one of them almost toppled onto the floor ^_^
David is nursing a cold (so am I) & has cancelled a few TV appearances *dear dear* Hope he get better soon but he did manage a few like Kangxi Lai Ling & Be a College Guy where he shared amusing stories of his courting days as well as squeeze a girlie >"< Apparently these 2 programs will be broadcast in TW on 9/10. Hopefully it will be same timing in SG cable but maybe a few wks later. Really hope to watch them as just so thrilling watching & hearing him talk. Its funny but everytime I see him on telly its so uplifting & I feel so happy. The amazing power of DT *__*
Some more pixs of Chef DT! He looked wonderfully yummy. He really dun need to make dessert cos he can just put himself in the menu haha More great pixs here & short write up @ CRIENGLISH:
Introducing Chef David Tao
Taiwan singer and songwriter David Tao showcases his culinary skills by making a cheese cake at a television show hosted by his friend Matilda Tao (L) on Monday, September 3, 2007.
Nice series of pixs courtesy & credit DTFC where he stuffed his face while looking adorable during his concert promo trip to Guiyang.
RIP Luciano Pavarotti who has sadly departed us. Wonder if David will still include the Three Tenor mimic for his Guiyang & Taipei concerts? That's all the update for now although for sure I miss out some but hard to think when yr nose is all blocked up *sniff*

DT & prenup
David appearing in Taozi new program 愛上陶花園 where he impressed her by making a blueberry cheesecake from scratch. He does look comfortable in a kitchen ^__^ Earlier he was interviewed after his private party for ticketholders & explained that the reason he rushed back to US was cos he had found a tenant for the house he just bought. He has quite a few properties in US & if he sold them all he will be a millionaire. He joked that maybe he has fate with real estate as most of the houses he bought he sold with profit. But cos of his wealth he said that although it is cruel but he will still ask his future wife to sign a prenuptial contract to protect his assets for his future kids & parents.
Here he is surrounded by his loyal fans who gave him all sort of gifts. Btw here the direct links to watch the event if u unable to watch below.

During her program, Taozi said that although she has known David for many yrs, she has nvr seen his weak side. David said cos he is able to control his emotions. He dislikes ppl with no sense of honor & those who betray him will be blacklisted. When asked what kind of women will be blacklisted, he said those who only want to befriend him for profit not friendship. His future wife must be able to cook & give him freedom. He claimed that even with a wife & kids, he will not be tied down by 'ball & chain'. He knows what he likes & will not be influenced by others. Usually he can tell whether a girl is suitable or not but of cos there are times when he is seduced by looks alone *__*

(Pix credit TW Yahoo Grp) Very relaxed David in his 9/2 private party for 123 lucky ticketholders. Simply gorgeous ^__^ TW Yahoo grp has also posted below clips of the entire event. Vry touching as fans related why David's music meant so much to them. David also sang some acapella which is vry thrilling. Enjoy! With much thanks & credit to TW Yahoo Grp:
