Ultrasound - DT Interactive

Introducing *tada* Ultrasound - DT Interactive, sister site to this blog. I have been wanting to convert to a more interactive site for sum time but vry reluctant to leave Blogger. But its time to update cos interactive is the way to go for the best DT experience. I use Mutiply.com cos well I am lazy heehee & its was the first I found so I went with it, sumtimes intiution is the way to go too. Besides it has all the things I wanted, unlimited space (so they said) for pixs & not bad storage for media - 30mb.
I am still learning how the networking works so if u guys can leave sum emails so I can create sum contacts, also if you wanna sign up that would be great so there will be more space for media. At the moment I uploaded sum wallpapers & I did upload heaps of news media but it didn't show up *sob* so the site is not that stable. I was trying to use up all my month's pix allowance, maybe that's why haha. I am allowed to upload 160 pixs per mth.
Also upload a couple of Love Can concert live soundbyte - Let's fall in love & Moon over my heart. The 1st is cute as he told the audience they have been sitting too long, & the other he said in the beginning - even though there are no stars, there should be a moon. His voice really can make you melt ^__^ Both courtesy davidcn. Dun think I am infringing on copyright too much as the recording vry rough & both songs r such familiar DT favorites.
There r also 2 english songs - One last cry & American Pie. Again shouldn't be a problem with copyright as dun think David will ever sing these 2 songs again. But it will be a treat for his english fans to hear him singing in english, esp One Last Cry. Its not his best performance but for sum reason, its just crazily good the way he sang this song. As for American Pie, he sang in memory of Leslie Cheung so it will always be special for me.
The vids r a news clip on his Beijing concert & 2002 Variety show cos sumone requested for it. Unfortunately both did not upload fully only 2/3 complete but still can enjoy. I will have to replace these vids cos of the limited space but if u have any request for mvs or other files provided its not too big, I will try & upload. The interactive site is vry much Love Can at the moment, & I have included the 2 concert reviews by Mark. Hopefully there will be more reviews to come.
I hope this interactive site will give a more vivid picture of David Tao. Since there so little support for him in his own country *yeah yeah I know I am being such a drama queen heehee* fans must now help to promote him cos he is worth promoting. I am really so tired of candy/bubblegum pop, not that I am against it but when its 90% of the chinese music being heard, it does get too much. I want to be able to change to a chinese pop station & not have my ears siezed up from all that stickiness.
Its sad when singers, songwriters, lyrists are all scared of trying new things cos it will not appeal to the teenypoppers. When have children become the arbitar of what is good music? I honestly saw a msg where a child claimed that since the reviewer is in his 40s, how would he know what is good music... er...excuse me haha it's crazy world alrite. So yeah support good chinese music, support David Tao.

Two Davids

Latest news from TW is David's concerts selling well, the most expensive & cheapest seats all sold out. David in China was happy to hear the news & promised to put on a memorable show. And as if u need encouragement to attend, here's someone who was glad he went. Thanx phii for letting us know abt Love Can phamplet @ Sistic outlets, so look out for them when u r in town. Been listening to Sweet Hour of Prayer on repeat, such a soothing song. Read his dedications again & caught this line - Our family is growing stronger and larger by the day but I hope we can always interact and love one another without borders or prejudice. He is such a sensitive & caring person.
He looked serious here but that boy is so fine heehee he really looked yummy & delicious ^__^ Seemed an article in 1 of the Sin chinese papers said David denied Joanna is his gf but a vry good friend, he was afraid she would not be able to find bf if the rumor persist. Anyway I dun really care whether or not if he has a gf, but since I did blogged that Joanna was supposedly his gf, just wanna point this out *sigh* hope he dun get angry again.
Been hearing Craig David sing Don't love you no more (I'm sorry) for a few days & decided I like it. I feel its more mainstream than his other songs but its vry refreshing & he really sings so well. His is the male voice I like most after David. Went to his site to test listen & decided yeah I will buy his new album The Story Goes... even tho it dun sound as innovative as his previous albums. The track I like most is Johnny, from the lyrics its sounded like school bullying, something I felt has all too often been swept under the carpet. Thought abt getting Lene Marlin's Lost in a moment too but honestly I am tired of that highpitched female voice. Not saying its no good but I grown tired of it. Btw who likes roti prata with cheese? Thought it would taste horrendous but its actually yummy & delicious like David haha

Song for Anita

Vry charming here. Dear wonderful chandelier has translated the following:

Song for Anita
She came to mind, I can't help thinking of what was left unsaid
Youth aged suddenly, so quickly
Waiting...like the smiling Mona Lisa

Looking at her, like a flower precariously blooming on the edge of the cliff
Shall I let memory go beyond what's hidden
Love, takes away all my fear and concern

When will the everlasting wind cease to blow?
How long shall I endure this pain?
In my eyes,
The four seasons come and go, and had become eternal
The withered heart need not anyone's pity or discernment
She, is a dream, I never would want to wake from...
Anita
Music by David Tao, lyrics by David Tao & WaWa, sang by David Tao in The Great Leap 2005

I think she really got the feel of the whole song. She translated My Anata too, will post @ forum. Anyway this got me outta my sulky mood thanx chandelier *hugz* Still a bit mad @ how the media is writing abt David but really its nothing new. Reminded me Anita was quite the patroness, always supporting local talents in HK.
I remembered when I was kinda recuperating in Sydney how my auntie would support the local art scene by dragging me to all kinda experimental theater. The interesting thing was where they were staged. Once in a crypt where it was so cold my toes were totally numbed despite wearing kneehigh boots. Then in the museum where we had to follow the actors around the exhibits. In a kinda clock tower where we had to sit on the spiral staircase looking down on a makeshift stage, also we had to get up every half an hour as there were men in cloaks walking up & down the stairs carrying lanterns. In a disused train station where the stage was the sunken track. Although majority of the plays were not great there were some gems like a wonderful version of Red Riding Hood which explored old age where the wolf fell in love with the granny instead of eating her, a multicultural comedy set in a bistro & updated version of Harold Pinter's The Servant. Yeah it was a great way to support local playwrights & artists.

*MUAK* <3<3<3

David kissing & being kissed by girl fan ^__^ He was attending 'The same song' concert in Nanjing, China, not sure what event but seemed annual & vry popular. Fans coming to greet him all wanting to be hugged but this vry lucky girl fan asked for a kiss & got it *swoon* then returned the kiss *double swoon* He looked so gorgeous *triple swoon* my wonderful idol <3<3<3 He sang 2 songs - Rain & Susan Said. Lee Hom & A-mei also there, see if can find pixs to post later, miss Lee Hom so long since I seen him. Apparently David's granddad born in Nanjing, maybe could be why he mentioned Nanjing in Susan Said, maybe the song is also abt his granddad hmmm...once again David leave me guessing heehee Just wanna shout out to the world I LOVE<3 LOVE<3 LOVE<3 LOVE<3 LOVE<3 LOVE<3 DAVID TAO!!!!!!!!!!!!

More DT concerts to come

Stunning pixs from Tom. Sum TW fans vry upset & disappointed cos of high tic prices = NT900/1500/2000/2500/3000/3600/4200/4600, so did a convert - range from USD26 to 136 or S$45 to 230. Midrange comparable to Sin tickets so guess ppl can still afford them but they may only want the best seats. They think its probably cos of the new venue pushing up the cost. Anyway David will still give his best even if its half filled so those who already booked their tickets should rest assured it will be a great concert no matter what.
Actually David has released doll before during Soul Power concert. Kinda resembled cover of Ultrasound album. Wish I have this as well. Sumone gave me a collectible Bruce Lee doll & I love it. The doll in its original box & I nvr removed it or anything. Its not a toy but a tribute to his beautiful body immortalised in a familiar pose. So yeah hopefully SGFC can manage to get the doll here, thank you so much starlady. Btw DT doll is abt 23 cm high so quite big.
As suspected David had a cold during press conference so plse take care *sigh* Apparently he had to fly to China again for a performance so look out mainland fans ^__^ Surprisingly he revealed Joanna did attend his concert in Beijing but nobody recognised her. David also planted a few decoys just in case, so sweet. He also said he will have concerts in both US & Canada next year *yeah yeah*
Anyway I already made up my mind I am a DT pet so no matter what ppl said abt him, I will still support him UNCONDITIONALLY. Dun wanna make demands on him just cos he is my idol. Maybe releasing a doll is considered selling out by sum but that's for him to decide. Probably he may sell less tickets than Rain & media kept saying he is 'defeated' or whatever, to me he is never 'defeated' cos he never challenged. Dun they have any Taiwanese pride that they want their own artist to be 'defeated' by sum other country's superstar in their own country & take joy in it? Not bashing Rain or Korea but just feel the TW media is rather biased abt their concerts. But its ok, I will always always always be here supporting you.

DAVID TAO DOLL!!!!!!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! OMG There is actually a David Tao doll I WANT I WANT Wearing the red outfit AHHHHHHHHHH! They dun actually show the real thing yet but the cartoon image is pretty cute too dun u think? Heehee so adorable, wearing the crucifix & everything
Anyway yeah so happy TW concert is confirmed & tabloid can stop their silly speculation. Altho still dun understand why the TW media so gleeful that Rain may be first singer (not confirmed yet). Somehow dun think a brandnew venue in South Korea will try by all means to get a Taiwanese artist however famous for the opening. Maybe Jackie Chan knew what he was talking abt. But who cares *shrug* yr world yr rules. All I care abt now is how to get the DT doll ^__^
Here's where to book online & yeah the tickets r a bit on the high side, already sum complaints from fans still @ school cannot afford the better seats. Oh dear hope they will attend anyway cos for sure the concert will be enjoyable no matter where u sit. David guarantees it, & not only that but get the DOLL as well. Man I really want it heehee

TW Love Can Concert confirmed

David @ TW Love Can Concert conference. He looked happy & relaxed, lost sum weight & love the hair. More pixs here. His concert will be held on 1/21 & 1/22 next year. Tickets should be on sale today, check here He was on TVBS news & was so charming. He said he wasn't aware that Rain was invited to hold concert in Dec, he knew only yesterday & the reason he delayed his concert was because of the amount of stage work. He said it doesn't matter who is first, he just want to ensure the best concert environment. And he smiled so sweetly when he said his figure is better now & can considered stripping, made me melt & forget abt my mild infatuation with Rain. I admit Rain is vry adorable but David is just DAVID.
He was super cute when he posed with the ball. So happy to see him in public. He looked really marvellous, vry fresh but sounded a bit hoarse, hope he won't get cold again. Just so happy to see him, vry contented now.
David to tabloid news
just feel so sweet
like Beijing opera
Yu Tang Chun & David
Korean movies that means
Rain, altho not
so keep yr idol & he will
be made the songs you can accept
local arthouse movies
like the same with
Ricky Martin & Utada Hikaru...
they put so much info credit
davidcn, He told them Btw
just meet up to
advice, if ppl all
the concert & Also
targets for Sin
according to the rap bit
more beautiful Its vry good

Was challenged to write poetry cos apparently it required talent, plse all you need is a computer & generator program like this where it take random words from the website & comes up with gibberish resembling poetry. Or this where it has templates you can insert words to create quite credible verses:
what have you wrought?
a miasma of misery as memories vanish.
once we savored bliss,
untainted and childlike,
but your desire drifted away.
a feverish morass of bitterness -
emotions follow rain, follow darkness,
love ground to dust.
in a torrent of vengeance,
i condemn you

My fav is this one where you write the first line & it completes the poem for you with hilarious results:
Most talented is David Tao
I cannot help but drink from your shoes
They asked me if I was loco
Panzer-man, panzer-man o you!

David Tao is back!
I keep drivin' past goin' twice as fast
It's googles of pudding you lack
How long do poems like this last (^__*)

So yeah instant poetry to go with our instant noodles & karaoke music. Another reason to love David who is nvr instant anything. He is really like wine, takes time to mature heehee

David's TW concert press conference

Alrite sum news at last regarding TW concert, info credit Perfect David Yahoo Grp. According to tabloid news, Rain will be holding concert on 12/29 & David will in Jan 2006 but no dates confirmed. However David will be having press conference TODAY @ 2.00pm so he should clarify everything & WE BELIEVE IN YOU David no matter what this stupid tabloid keep insinuating. So annoying as if David wants to be the first singer to hold his concert in the brandnew venue.
I am sure there is something behind this tussle of who is going to the first & David is inadvertently dragged into it. But who cares so long as there are concerts, fans will support whoever they want to support. I would think the audience going to see Snow Wolf Lake, Rain & David are quite different. Maybe the ppl going to see David may want to attend Snow Wolf Lake but probably not Rain. Even though I like Rain, I have no desire to attend his concert along with hundreds of screaming young girls just to see him strip. I prefer him as an actor. But I do want to see David strip (^__^) Also just my opinion ok, but surely a brandnew venue opening in Taiwan should be proud to have a Tawianese artist opening for them first and not a HK musical or Korean superstar. I mean dun have to be David but wasn't A-Mei supposed to be the first? Enough of this silly sensational news from Taiwan, all will be clear this afternoon & hopefully there will be latest pixs of dear David. So happy he will be seen in public soon. In the meantime Singapore has no such qualms about welcoming David to his concert here next month. Here's a sweet illustration from Tangerina (know you dun mind I post here tangie), friend of hers did it for her & it will be displayed to David when he is here. So sweet :D

Tension is back!

TENSION!!!!! at last. Appearing in promo for Doritos. All teary to see them together again. Apparently they cannot released new album cos of sum co problem? (not sure abt this), so they have been doing other work. Jimmy in a movie (not sure starring or directing), Raymond hosting programs in TW, Brian teaching singing in US, Andy & John working in Andy's dad's co in Shanghai. Andy's dad not so good health so Andy is happy to help out but his love is still music. And oh they busy writing songs too ^__^
Raymond in the middle seems to have gain weight, John lost weight & Jimmy *muak* has more muscles heehee Below Brian wearing cap sounds most like David & Andy is the most shuai one. Jia you Tension! You will always be judged on your talents not your looks, popularity or sales. Even though it's tough but I truly believe you will all achieve your goals. All Tension pixs credit Attension.com
Anyway waiting for more news abt David's concert in TW but it seemed to have stalled. Even the info has been removed from ticketing website so really at the moment its not clear when the Taiwan concerts will be held. But I am sure there will be updates soon.
Anyway its a good long break for David & hopefully he is working on his new album altho not sure if the co problems Tension is experiencing will be extended to David. Whatever just so touched at the honesty & sincerity of both David & Tension who always tried so hard to maintain their standards without overblown hype. They just let their music speak for them & if the ppl who hear their message are not in great numbers well so be it. At least they can sleep at night.
Just a bit more on Rain altho dun wanna turn this into Rain blog +__+ Just wanna point out that Rain's mentor is Park Jin Young, talented songwriter/producer who successfully break into the US market & has written songs for American singers including Will Smith. Say what u like abt Rain but the standard of his albums r certainly worldclass. The songs are r specially written for him & they r not the usual syrupy pop karaoke stuff. When Rain first started out, he had to lipsynch cos he was not professional enough to sing & dance at the same time. He was embarrassed abt that & began serious voice training. Now he is confident to say that he hardly ever off-key when he sings & dances live.
Its easy to record a nice sounding album in the studio but to sound good live requires sum talent & a lot of hard work. It nvr all talent cos even the world's greatest singer still has to train. Rain put in the hard work cos he wanted to give the best performance on stage, yes he is not a great singer but at least he can project his voice & not sound off-key while he performed the moves in his own dance choregraphy. He is the consummate artist like David who went through so much work to bring us the best sound. So think before you dismissed Rain as just a 'dancer', do ppl called Usher just a dancer, what abt Michael Jackson? The 3 of them r dynamite on stage not cos they can dance but they put so much hard work into their choregraphy, singing & performance. Anyway who cares who hate on Rain, he is going to be HUGE.

Tension, Leo and Bi

Love Can Concert promo in iweekly. Just when I posted Tension pixs then admin @ davidtao.com posted msg to say Tension is having activity in Taipei. Should have posted sooner heehee Really nice to know they r back. Hope they release another album soon or host another program like Very Tension. Really enjoyed watching the few episodes I managed to catch.
Wondering to get this Love Message vcd as Leo Ku sang Don't say you don't know in the movie & so should be able to see David's name in the credits *sigh* I know I am such a fangirl ^__^ but could be a good movie too. If you like Katrina (the song), lyrics posted here & to listen, click Katrina. David featured in International program on this Wisconsin station along with Ricky Martin & Utada Hikaru...so nice. Dear David, you may not crave for international fame but your name do get around!
Another name for fame is Rain, the Korean hottie, & the only ppl who think he 'suck' probably Jay fans who cannot stand him for taking away his valuable sponsors. Cos the only ppl I know who go around saying other ppl 'suck' & Jay 'rulez' r his juvenile fans who play too many computer games & have this kinda challenge mentality. Rain fans I find are on the whole vry civilised.
They called themselves Bi-ers so cute. Rain's Korean name is Bi which means rain. They know Rain is not that goodlooking but they dun care, they just love his smile & his tiny eyes. They are Bi pets I guess, love him unconditionally but they r not so delusional they think he 'rulez'. But still he does look extremely adorable in these pixs dun u think?

Tension and poetry

Part of a vry large Sprite poster, courtesy davidcn. He looks incredibly sweet, esp like the hand holding the mike. Not much news but seem a few activities in China but the translation is beyond me @ the moment sry. Posting sum pixs of Tension as promised for Jae.
Here's John & Andy attending David's concert in Shanghai I think. John's the one in white.
Group pix during their promo in China, Jimmy is the one slightly upright. He is part Korean, his mom I believe is Korean & of cos his dad is the famed Samo Hung. Tension on their break @ the moment & not sure when they will be back with sum new music. Really like them not just cos they r David's disciples but they make such great music. Pixs credit attension.com
Its strange when ppl wondered why Rain is so popular when both his songs & singing r not so great. As if there is such great music & singing coming from the chinese side. God I am so tired of the candy pop & the pretentious poetic lyrics. Poetry is the measured language of emotion. It's literature bringing out the beauty of the spoken word, its rhythm, rhyme & harmony. Surely setting poetry to music will defeat this purpose. I am sorry but I have never understood why it's so clever to write song lyrics like a poem. Maybe its just me. *sigh*

David and cars

Even tho pixs, credit davidcn, rather blurry but posting them cos its sweet to see David appearing with 2 of the biggest names in US automobile - Cadillac & Chevrolet heehee wonder what kinda concert was it sponsored by these 2 car companies. David must be vry happy to see such great cars altho he seemed to go more for European cars.
Latest news from TW is concert now Jan 21 2006 so maybe the media will stopping writing abt it. Poor David, even when he is not there he still get bashed. Like that time when they wrote he complained the streets being too dirty for his cars. As if David could be so petty. But nvr mind we will shower him with lotsa soothing love in Singapore soon. This is the likeliest 78 view of the concert & it still looks good dun u think?
I like it that the stage looked so busy all the time, davidcn has posted a few concert soundbyte & David sounded just superb. The audience vry screamy & excitable. He was cute when he told them they been sitting too long & to stand up before he sang Let's fall in love. Except he didn't do the rap bit maybe there were too many school kids & he felt it was too racy?
Such a charming gif found @ davidfans, I swear the Koreans made the best animated gifs. Maybe Jae, our DT korean fan, can translated what it say ^__^ Translation "More beautiful love than it is in the movie" courtesy Jae
Decided to abstain from western classical music for a while haha & listen to chinese classical music. Forgotten how much I like Besieged or Shi Mian Mai Fu in chinese which literally means Ten Sides Surrounded. Remembered watching the filming of Kung Fu Hustle & Stephen Chow used a live vry large chinese orchestra to play all the music, it was vry good. I wondered if the soundtrack is available. Go here if u wanna sample some chinese classical music, I recommend Besieged. Tan Dun is also vry good, his CTHD score featuring Yo-Yo Ma is truly a masterpiece. So dun have to go West to get inspiration, lots in the East.

New DT concert clip

Clip of Singapore Concert promo posted @ davidtao.com, upload it to Yahoo Briefcase for those unable to register. It has really great concert footage but much too brief. Concert is sponsored by Motorola & Starhub so they should broadcast it soon like Beyond concert. Also dun think should blame Jacky Cheung for extending Snow Wolf Lake but the management of this new venue in Taiwan seemed rather inefficient with their messy schedule, not a good start at all. It's understandable TW fans are upset they have to wait till nxt yr for David's Love Can concert.
Here reprint of english article abt David from Studio Classroom on Sohu, seemed to be for learning english too. There was a rather fun writeup comparing 4 singer/composers to beverages - Jay as soda, Lee Hom as water, David as wine & Wayne Lin as fruit juice. Of cos Jay fans must pop up to say Jay's songs longer lasting than David yada yada, plse its just for fun why take it so seriously. Cannot force ppl to always praise yr idol & he does enough self praising anyway. All the titles bestowed on David like r&b godfather are by other ppl. Sry but that's for ruining my enjoyment of Chopin. Is nothing sacred anymore?

20051016

The China in David

Latest news is David's concert in Taiwan will have to be postponed till Jan 06 cos of the clash with Jacky Cheung's Snow Wolf Lake which put on a few more shows cos of overwhelming demand. Considering that it takes at least 6 days to prepare the stage, it was decided to delay the concert. Of cos its field day for the paparazzi to take potshots at David saying he was mad @ Jacky, his ambition to be the first singer to hold a concert at the new venue was thwarted, etc, etc *roll eyes* whatever, write what you want, believe what you want. All I care abt such articles is a great source of nice pixs like the one above heehee
Latest pix of David singing @ Tianjin. Seemed to have lost sum weight & hair is longer *yeah yeah* but yummy as always. Really like his classic look of dress shirt, dark jacket & worn jeans. Vry tanned too, must be all that California sun heehee He sang Rain, Susan Said, Smalltown Girl & I Love You. Everytime I see a new DT pix, I feel so happy he is still around, he hasn't decided to abandon us & escape to his LA life. For sure he can get along vry nicely just by writing & producing for others. At least he promised 2 more studio albums.
David is not the only victim of the media. Both Jackie Chan & Andy Lau also targets for their valiant efforts to save chinese entertainment esp chinese movies. I am always surprised by the venom unleashed on these 2 stars cos they dared to speak their views, they dared to criticise, they dared to try new projects. If ppl have calmed down & read Jackie's views properly, they find he is not being anti-Korean or badmouthing chinese directors or being mean to chinese audience.
Japan & Korea always have the tradition of local support which certainly boost their filmmaking so they are able to have excellent, sophisticated movies with good box office. Certainly the audience in Japan can accept local arthouse movies that dun aimed for an international market. No surprise that Korea's April Snow did better there than HK's Initial D despite the latter being based on a Japanese anime.
To date Hollywood has remade or plans to remake more Japanese & Korean movies like Ring, Dark Waters, Grunge, Shall We Dance, Ill Mare, The sisters. Despite chinese movies being the acknowledged kungfu exponents in Hollywood, it was a Thai martial movie, Ong Bak, that got ppl all over the world excited.
Not to say there hadn't been good chinese movies but they had limited release like last yr Golden Horse winner - Kekexili: Mountain Patrol. Chinese audience has to make an effort to support good chinese movies because if they dun, nobody else would certainly not the Japanese, Korean or American. And if they dun, then there will be less & less chinese ppl willing to invest time & money to make a good movie as it will definitely not make any money. So more & more chinese movies will be made purely for entertainment & profit, not that they are no good but there has to be a balance or chinese entertainment will suffer. This is more or less what Jackie Chan was trying to say.
The same with chinese music, one has to make an effort to support the artist whom you feel is doing the best for chinese music. So before David goes & makes his mark in Chinese movies, I hope ppl will still support him & make sure his music is still heard. With David, I find that more & more I can find the reasons why I support him & his music so important to me. Sometimes I find its strange that he always mentioned western artists as his influence like U2, Sting & Beatles. Perhaps he is being honest as he grew up with that kind of music altho I feel he must also acknowledged the black American influence in his music. Some of his fast tempo songs owned more to Stevie Wonder than U2 ^__^
But in his music you can hear not just western influences but his tribute to chinese music. From the very first album - Spring Wind, Seventeen, second album - I'm Ok, Tuberose, third album - Moon over my heart, 22 to the fourth album - Susan Said, The Art of War, Song for Anita. Its vry subtle, not hitting you over the head with overplay of chinese instruments. In every one of his album, I can feel his chineseness & its not that he is proud to be chinese or trying to show the world what it is to be chinese or making a chinese statement or anything like that.
It's just being himself, complete honesty of who he is & hence his outlook on the world. So when ppl complained his music too westernised, just feel they dun use their heart to listen to his music. Not only that but he is the only chinese singer to introduce important chinese things to me like the song Tuberose, the chinese singers Ciu Jian, the chinese writer Eileen Chang, Beijing opera Yu Tang Chun, some Shanghainese words heehee & he does it all so naturally. He dun go all out to proclaim his chineseness cos what's there to proclaim, its a fact that he IS chinese.
Not that I am saying you have to be chinese to appreciate his music because he is not making music for chinese people but a chinese musician making music. That's why he has nvr been credited with 'blowing the chinese wind' till The Great Leap. Unless you are his fan, probably nvr noticed that he was using chinese instruments long before it became the trend & he nvr wanted to make a 'chinese statement'. He just used it in his music as appropriate. He has always been the innovator in his music whether its r&b, rock, soul, country, traditional chinese, folk Japanese, but cos he does it so well, his music nvr scream for attention. Just another one of the thousand reasons why I love & admire him so much.

Concert views

David will be attending a large scale concert in Tianjin, China, on 10/15, A-Mei will be appearing as well, poster credit davidcn. Not much info abt it tho.
As not much news of David, posting most likely views u get in Sin according to tickets heehee above 168 & upclose.
Vry atmospheric pix, can almost feel the power of music emanating from David & his band, most likely 138 view.
My fav pix, looks like the Prince of Music here ^__^ He is not a vry good pianist nor will he ever compared himself to Chopin. But when he sits in front of the piano to play & sing I love you, can just feel his sincerity & love. Not bad for 108 view even just to see him like this on the big screen.
Most likely a closer than 78 view but definitely can see the stage & all the band members, the rainforest effect & helicopter if David decided to ship it over for 1 night. So can see from these pixs that David's concert will be just as spectacular from any view so dun worry if cannot afford the expensive tickets. Just go along to enjoy the music & an unforgettable night!
All concert pixs credit & special thanks to davidfan.com
