It's not about David this time
Plse dun think I am blaming David, its not his fault of cos, just that my expectations r always vry high. I didn't say commercialism is bad, but it is not good either. Its just extreme capitalism & anything to the max is nvr ideal cos now most of our dreams are fueled by commercialism. You want that dream house, the dream car, the cool leather jacket, the must have Manolo Blahnicks. Are you any happier, smarter, better, wiser, kinder if you have all these things? Maybe so, but if you are, its probably cos of commericalism.
I nvr wanted David not to be 'commericalised' cos in a way it helps to bring his music to more ppl. But I can have a opinion on it can't I? He even wrote a vry angry post abt it voicing his opinions & his views. Well, here's mine. What is so wrong abt wanting someone in the entertainment world who truly & honestly believe in the power of music? It doesn't always have to be 'commercialised', it doesn't always have to be abt image, it doesn't always have to be abt music videos. But yes, going the commercial way will definitely make you more money, more famous and more fans so you can buy even more cars. But will it make your music any better, more insightful, more powerful, more inspirational, more meaningful? I don't think so. Anyway what's the point? As I said maybe its just me, maybe I just outgrown David & maybe my next idol will be Lou Dayou heehee.
David in Shanghai:
And here gorgeous fanart by the one & only Lynn:
Oso looked like David will not be attending any of the NKF Charity shows.

I feel so betrayed
He talked so defensively about commercialism like a politican trying to sway people's hearts & minds. What's so good about commericalism? What's so good about spending so much money & time to make a jellybean taste like peanut butter when children are dying because the West won't give them the medicine they need?
Have you heard of Ha Jin? He just won the PEN/Faulkner award for the second time but he is definitely not 'commerical'. Is that bad?
This is the face of Ha Jin, no cosmetics, no rebonded hair, no eye surgery. He lives the simple life you so often claimed for yourself, and put all his sincerity in his prose. I love his writing like I love your music. But his name will surely live longer than yours. People may not know him now but he will forever be considered as one of the most important and influential Chinese writers even though or perhaps because he writes only in English.
I used to think you are the Ha Jin of the Chinese music world but I don't anymore. I cannot feel your sincerity anymore. I don't know why. Did you change or did I? I don't know. You mentioned dancing in your concert if the song asks for it, and I feel so betrayed. You know very well that dancing has no place in a real music concert, or maybe you don't anymore. Where has the Soul Power's David gone? I don't know, maybe it is just me. After all you still have your legion of fans. All I know is I just don't feel your sincerity anymore.

All about the music
David @ fans gathering in China 3/25, pixs courtesy davidcn. He does look unnaturally thin here & starting to look like a lollipop (big head thin body), hope he dun succumbed to 'the more famous the more thin' celebrity syndrome heehee. God I can be a bitch abt his appearance rite? But I miss his healthy, muscular appearance in the Soul Power concerts. He was the right weight for his height & looked masculine. Now he wasting away like a girl, no wonder ppl r starting to call him 'sissy'. Remember David its all abt yr music not your looks, so stop dieting & start eating. We dun care if u r fat, we just care abt your music. Sry but he kinda scary in this pix dun u think, & I really get turned off by men who diet too much.
Anyway according to the Singapore fans, it seemed David will be here end of April for promo & attend the NKF charity show I suppose. Its abt a mth away David, u haf time to fatten up & let yr hair grown haha. But still I am proud of him as he has been really hardworking & attending fans gathering in Chinese cities to promote The Great Leap. Fans @ davidcn kindly post a clip of him singing Susan said & it was so nice even tho he was singing to a backing track, he just keep sounding better & better live.
Btw I hve seen both Art of War & Love Can mvs, Catherine mv has oso been premiering in TW. Quite enjoy Love Can mv, the simple, refreshing & stylistic format went well with the melody & lyrics of the song. But Art of War was vry disappointing. I can't believe with such a brilliant song, masterful lyrics & the participation of the 12 Girl Band, they can come up with such an uninspiring music video. All that rebonded hair blowing in the artificial fan, like one post @ davidcn described it was more like a hair shampoo cm. I am sry cos sure the director & staff for the cm worked vry hard & meant well but unfortunately the creative meaning u guys wanted to convey seemed to haf escaped most of DT fans.
Alrite then after all that negativity, will end wif this great Malaysian writeup where he revealed that he had a special CD made for his mum without Catherine & she kept playing Ghost to him, meaning he is a ghost! Everybody now, "aaaaaawwwwwwwwww!"
PERSONALITY: Tao's great leap
Sharon Wong
Mar 26: David Tao can't wait to make the transition from singer to movie producer. SHARON WONG writes.
It's been two years since his last album and his last visit to Malaysia. Musician/producer/singer David Tao couldn't be more delighted with the chance to meet up with his Malaysian friends and fans again.
"The last time I was here, I went to Johor Baru but I've never been to Penang, Kuching or Seremban," he said. "I am really excited about all the food here and, of course, the opportunity to meet my fans again. I really want to thank them for being so patient in waiting for my new album."
Tao's first album with EMI, The Great Leap 2005, went gold (15,000) within one week of release in Malaysia and is well on its way to Platinum (25,000) status.
Although Tao is known as the godfather of R&B, he refuses to categorise his music, saying that it would only limit his creativity.
According to him, The Great Leap 2005 signifies the beginning of a new phase in his life and the birth of new feelings, ideas and struggles as he grows older. He considers it to be 'heavier' and rawer than his previous albums with deeper emotions involved expressed in the lyrics.
One of the tracks in this album attracted more interest than the rest. Apparently, it is about Tao's mother and she wasn't too pleased about it. "The track Catherine was actually written by a 23-year-old Harbin boy," he said. "He was a fan who wrote the song in the China fan site. I thought it was quite good and got in touch with him.
"Initially, the song was about his girlfriend but because it was not my own story, I found it rather difficult to get involved emotionally. I needed it to be of someone I know personally and the only person I know who is called Catherine was my mum. And that was when all the problems started..." he concluded rather sheepishly. The track is about being suffocated by a person's love and Tao's mother was not amused by being such an 'inspiration' to him.
"I really meant no disrespect," Tao said. "I made a special CD without that song for her and she kept playing the track Gui (Ghost) to me... meaning I'm a 'ghost' ... but everything's okay now."
Where the rest of the tracks in the album are concerned, Tao said that they are not exactly pessimistic but as one grows older, there is less fantasy now. "This album reflects the truer aspects of life and society," he said.
Initially, it might take some getting used to but Tao insisted that his music grows and changes along with him and in time, it will be accepted, just like his last album.
Tao, who has been compared with Jay Chou and Wang Li Hom, believes that time will tell the difference as they are all good musicians with something to offer the music scene.
"It is good to have more musicians like Jay and Li Hom," he said graciously. "This will allow more variety and ultimately, competitiveness will be good for the scene on the whole.
"As recording artistes, we need to be more professional," he said. "My aim is not to get awards or have best-selling albums but to do my best to change the scene for the better.
"Fortunately, when I see such talented artistes like Singapore's JJ and Malaysia's Penny Tai, among others, I feel that there's hope yet for the music scene."
Tao however revealed that his lifelong dream is actually in making movies. "By the time I was 10, I knew that I wanted to be a director and make movies," he said. "But somehow, I was 'sidetracked' by music.
"The movie I eventually make will have to be a film of substance as I don't want to use my status as a singer for leverage. I want people to look at me as a director but it will take time."
That is certainly something to look forward to but meanwhile, for this year and the next, he will be embarking on his Asian tour, which he promises will be a completely new experience.

Martial Girl and Master tao
Hey look guys, no PINK A&F TEE!!!!!!!! heehee sry that pix was asking such a caption rite? David went to Ming Chuan University in Taiwan for mini concert & autograph session. Penny Dai was the other guest & David went on stage to present her a bouquet of flowers making Penny vry happy.
They look wonderful together, my dearest wish is they fall in love of cos. Penny is perfect - beautiful, talented, sexy, intelligent, independent & a true artist. Just the right combination for David. EMI called the concert Heavenly Queen & King Show but Penny objected cos she felt she's not a Heavenly Queen more a Martial Girl. Isn't she adorable? Hopefully Cupid is around when they meet again. More pixs of David & Penny here
Anyway there r confusing & conflicting news abt the NKF charity show & whether David is attending & which show he is attending. So think its best to wait for official confirmation. Could be they invited him & he has yet to accept. He prolly dun even know they invited him seeing as he is so busy & all cos I read @ davidcn that he is going to a few Chinese cities for promos this coming week. EMI is more interested in his mainland China promos if they want to reach their sales target of a million copies. Oso dun forget Sprite cm launch next mth in China so David will have to be there too. So hopefully they can let him come seeing as its for charity.
Oso dun hurt to post lots @ DT forum that fans in Singapore longing to see him cos I do believe David visit the forum everyday, I mean if u haf a website u visit it everyday rite? Maybe he won't read the msgs but he will see the title if in english & scream "DAVID WE WANT TO SEE YOU IN SINGAPORE" get what I mean heehee. Saw a short clip of him @ the uni & he looked absolutely gorgeous & yummy. But he had a haircut *sob* & its all layered now, hopefully it will grow back long when & if he come here. Below mag is Malaysian I believe, TVtimes, but the coverboy vry cute dun u think? <3<3<3

David made success of twins
A late article on David's Penang showcase where at last he wore diff tee & like it much better. Wonder why he dun wear it during Sunway, since its more glamorous wif glitter.
Taiwanese R&B star wows fans
NORTHERN region fans of Taiwanese R&B king David Tao had a treat when he made an appearance at Upper Penang Road (UPR) to promote his latest album The Great Leap 2005.
Fans started coming in as early as 4pm on Friday to get a vantage view of the star although Tao was only scheduled to make his appearance later in the night.
By 8pm, the crowd had spilled over to Farquhar Street where a giant screen had been set up for fans standing too far away from the main stage.
The emcee for the event went on stage at 8.15pm to pacify the surging crowd with a game session. Five lucky fans were invited on stage to sing songs from Tao's latest album and they each walked away with a goodie bag containing the album, a poster and a T-shirt.
Tao finally appeared at 8.50pm, and appeased his fans with his hit Ai Wo Hai Shi Ai Ta (Who Do You Love?) before continuing with Susan Shuo (Susan Said).
He also impressed the largely Penangite Hokkien crowd with a Hokkien number titled Wang Chun Feng (Look on the Wind of Spring) from an earlier album.
The night ended with Tao signing autographs.
Tao is on a whirlwind tour of Malaysia, which has taken him from Kuching, Sarawak, to Penang. His next stop is Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The tour is organised by Galaxy Production and presented by Hotlink.
Tao, 36, left Taiwan for the United States after completing junior high in Taiwan. He studied psychology at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), with a minor in film. While working in a record store, he met a Taiwanese producer who hired him to compose songs. He released his debut album, Taoism, in 1997 under Shock Records in Taiwan.
He soon earned the tag, 'Taiwan's R&B King' and subsequent artistes like Jay Chou who attempted R&B have been compared with him.
His other albums are Tao Zhe (1997), I'm OK (1999), Black Tangerine (2002) and Ultrasound (1997-2003).
David had oso made appearance in another northern region - Vancouver for SUCCESS (United Chinese Community Enrichment Services Society) in 2003. The fund raising gala was 'the largest Chinese Concert held in North America, with a cast that epitomizes the best in the Asian entertainment circle'. Had a pix of him with Miriam Yeung @ the concert once but seemed to be lost *sad*. This was where Twins met him first & for them to still remember the encounter meant he made quite an impression, but then this is David always charming & wowing young impressionable girls heheheheheheheh. Always wanted to post pix of the adorable twosome.........

In the name of charity
So it seemed David will be coming to Singapore after all to participate in the annual NKF Charity Show on April 17. The website is not quite ready & not sure if can watch online. Nvr having watch this kinda show I have heard that performers are supposed to do some trick in order to get people to call in & donate. It seemed last yr one local singer had darts thrown on her naked back *ouch* sounded painful. Hopefully David dun haf to endure this kinda pain even in the name of charity. Personally I would like to see him rip the pink A&F tee to pieces with his bare hands. Wonder who @ NKF I can suggest the idea to heehee. Oso it seemed if u donate during his segment with yr mobile/cell/handphone, u get thank you sms from David - so nice.
Davidcn haf really great bt of David attending sum program during his promo tour in China, not sure which city. It was an hr long & he sang Love Can, Moon over my heart, Susan Said, Rain & Who do you love? He oso harmonised a little Song for Anita wif a female fan who won many singing contests with his songs. 4 little girls & 4 matronly ladies oso went on stage to perform for him which was quite hilarious. They oso showed footage of the filming of Who do you love mv & Qu Ying who played Red Rose appeared for sum comments. She said David was vry natural & that he is suitable to be a lover first then husband. David said that even though she is vry tall & striking, Qu Ying is actually vry sweet like a little girl. Qu Ying oso said she is releasing her first album soon & reminded David he promised to write her a song. David said a promise is a promise & he will honored it even if it takes 10 yrs (remind me my own promise seemed to be taking 10 yrs to fulfil *sly smile*).
All pixs courtesy & thanks to davidcn.com - the best & only chinese DT fanclub in China.

End of Malay Journal
David taking a bow after his vry successful tour in Malaysia. Around 9000 fans turned up at the Sunway showcase making David so vry happy he even made up sum lyrics abt the tour to thank his malaysian fans. In each of the 3 showcases, he sang Who do you love? & Susan Said adding Spring Wind in Penang cos the ppl there spoke 'hokkien' so he sang a 'hokkien' song, in Sunway he added I love you.
Actually u guys in Malaysia r the best, so sweet, adorable & helpful with one another, & such great DT fans making us in S'pore vry shameful that we can't even get his songs to stay on the chart even the radio dj remarked that DT fans r not vry keen on voting or maybe not as many fans here. Anyway its time for S'pore fans to be more active if u wanna David to come here.
Must admit I am not the kinda fan to vote or turn up his showcase or autograph session. I love his songs & buy all his original cd/vcd/dvds, all the mags he appeared in, watch all his programs & become a Sprite drinker. But then I am not keen to meet anyone famous either & I absolutely hate crowds or having to queue. Oso not sure what I gonna do when I meet him, say "Could you please stop wearing pink A&F tees?", he will think I am crazy & call the security guards heehee. But he has the honor of being the only person I have ever written a blog for.
He does looked really superb, must be twice as gorgeous in the flesh, lucky fans in Malaysia. Anyway lotsa them has posted encounters, news, photos @ DT forum. Remember dun haf to go thru the flash website to access the forum cos flash take forever if dun haf fast connection. Cos if u want David to read yr post, DT forum still the best place & think he read the english posts first cos the chinese ones r so small & complicated. Even if he set his font to the largest, it will still be fuzzy & a pain to read. So if he only spend an hr everyday to read the posts, there's a vry good chance that he will read yr english posts first.
Found this interesting version of Katrina @ this site, scroll down to dl in zip format. So this is the end of my DT Malay Journal, hope u guys enjoy it & the pixs, oso big thank you to those who posted their comments here & blog forum.

Not pretty in pink
Well I am not bored & tired of waiting for David cos he is only a small part of my life, I love him to bits but I hesitate to take precious time travelling all the way to Sunway just to see him & glad I didn't judging by review of Kuching showcase on this blog, a bit cruel but funny as hell & nice pixs heehee. Kinda agreed & disagreed wif what he said, I mean David could have packed a guitar & sang acoustic rather than a backing track, but still its only a promo tour sponsored by Hotlink not a real DT concert.
Oso wearing that lame tee again, man what is it abt pink that he like so much? Dun kid yourself, only babies look good in pink. Could so ripped that shirt off not cos I wanna see his body, the silly thing hurts my eyes >"<. Sry David but you committed the worst sartorial sin in my books. Sumtimes its hard to be yr fan hahaha. Oh dear, guess its hard to be an idol 2, everybody so critical of you & wanting to take yr pix all the time, & complaining when you refused to sign posters or old albums. But still fans in Malaysia had a great time & were vry excitable & adorable abt seeing David in person. Sure this trip was a great success.

Singing with Leo Ku
Btw Zoe, so glad u like M.I.A., she's a real talent & no hype, she didn't even planned to be a singer just like David, guess its their destiny.
The Malay Journal II
This is the healthiest I seen him - tanned & rosy cheeks. Must be enjoying the Malaysian sunshine or maybe not so much pressure since The Great Leap is doing well. Can't be easy for David releasing the album that he wanted to do rather than the album that is expected of him after the critical success of Black Tangerine, & then there is the banning of Ghost in China. Now he can at least pat himself on the back for not letting music & his fans down. Here he received gold plaque for the success of The Great Leap in Malaysia.
More gorgeous pixs @ the interactive interview in myfm here here For those not lucky enough to be in Malaysia to watch David, short clip @ tvb where can watch David play the guitar & sing harmony with Leo Ku, so nice, click No 6 under 18/03/2005. Link courtesy taozeehk.
Oso lotsa links too @ davidtao.com forum for press interviews in malaysian papers. He answered questions abt his criticism of the chinese music industry & said criticism is not necessarily bad. He again chided the industry for coverup of bad sales & not paying attention to the music. He is happy that Malaysia & Singapore both have good singer/composers like Penny Dai & JJ Lin. He said the comparision of Jay, Lee Hom & him should be a thing of the past as they are so different & the industry must be able to accommodate all of them as well as other artists.
He said that chinese music should be more like the States & be able to have popular singers who are not idols, but older, more serious & can express their thoughts in their songs. He also felt that Tension will find it even harder to survive as they are not an idol band. Anyway there are lotsa more on him wanting to be director & not getting married. Also vry trivial story abt the Twins wanting to meet him again as in their last meeting when performing in Canada, David invited them for beer with his friends but was rejected cos the Twins dun drink. They oso said he is vry talkative & joked alot. Guess I am not the only who just loved to listen to him talk & talk & talk, while with others on tv who talked alot I just get bored, David is different, I can't get enough of him talking heehee. Short article below on his promo tour.

Tao of The Great Leap
SHARON WONG
MAR 11:
Malaysian fans can catch a glimpse of Taiwanese superstar
David Tao who will be in town next week to promote his latest
album titled The Great Leap 2005. SHARON WONG writes.
WHO in their right mind would give up cash that is already well, almost in their pockets with a snap of their fingers? And we are not talking about just RM100 or even RM1,000. The figure involved runs into millions approximately RM7.2 million but that's exactly what Taiwanese R&B maestro David Tao did. Apparently, he was supposed to begin a concert tour in China last year.
Since his successful concerts in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Malaysia, promoters and organisers in China have been clamouring for some of the action and ultimately six shows were finalised and he was supposed to kick off with the first performance in Shanghai on Sept 4.
However, after much consideration, the man finally decided to stop all presses. The reason? To concentrate on his new album.
With his recording company, EMI Music, fully behind him, Tao's fourth album titled The Great Leap 2005 was eventually released worldwide on Jan 21 this year. Never mind that there were other big names also releasing albums around the same time. Nothing could stop the tidal wave that was Taos pre-release orders promotions.
Although orders were only being taken at the selected record stores in Malaysia at 1pm, a long queue was already formed from as early as 10am outside Tower Records, Kuala Lumpur.
Among those waiting patiently were several non-Chinese music lovers as well as some British tourists, who were introduced to Tao's music by their Malaysian friends! The tourists said that although they did not understand the songs, the music was powerful and attractive enough for them to want to get their own copy.
The pre-release orders for the first day alone broke the 8,000 unit mark! Now, Malaysian fans can rejoice for Tao will be in town next week to personally promote the album. Jointly organised by EMI Music and Galaxy Productions and presented by Hotlink, Tao will be arriving in Malaysia on March 15 for numerous promotional activities in several States.
His itinerary begins with live radio interviews with 988 at 8pm on March 15, MYFM at 6pm on March 16 and Kuchings Cats Radio at 4pm on March 17. Tao will also be holding an autograph session in Terminal 1, Seremban at 8pm on March 16. Fans can also catch him in action at the MBKS Indoor Stadium, Kuching at 8pm on March 17, Upper Penang Road, Penang (Next to City Bayview and E&O Hotels) at 8pm on March 18 and Sunway Surf Beach, Selangor at 8pm on March 19. For more information, call Galaxie Productions at 03-2282-2020.

My idol my God
Hey hey bloggie friends, I am sooooooooooooooooo excited cos I just found this totally amazing crazy page!!!!!! Just scroll down to Episode 09-Total, Utter, Complete, World, Domination and see Geraldine Chung reveals what it is like to collaborate with world dominant Chinese pop music producer David Tao Is this cool or what? Click the pix & listen, the first bit abt Todd is quite funny when he talked abt MTV & then its Geraldine's account of David. Its really really really great & just confirmed what we already know - that David is so unreal, maybe he is indeed god to be able to appear in so many manifestations in this surreal ether world that is the internet like here, here and here
Anyway improve my mood little bit from my utter disappointment @ David wearing A&F, oso dun u think he is a bit erm advanced erm in erm age to be wearing slogan tees. Plse dun hit me, just my opinion k.
Tao Lifestyle & M.I.A.
So sweet, David attended his dad's media event for the release of his new book. Tao Dawei said that he wrote the book to let ppl know that fame of a celebrity is only shortlived, its what u do with yr life that matters. Btw David looked like wearing A&F tee, god do I really haf to post on DT forum as I promised?????? Sound so trivial now. Can anyone verify that really is A&F?
Anyway Shangri-la & Great Leap compares both David's & Lee Hom's albums which kinda trivial too cos the 2 albums r so different, what there's to compare. Oso Lee Hom's 'hip hop infused with oriental sounds' is neither new nor edgy. It's really nice but just candy pop & Lee Hom's credential as a hip hop artist is sorely lacking. You want real outstanding, cutting edge east-west fusion in hip hop, then listen to M.I.A. from Sri Lanka.
When her first hit 'Galang' ignited the Brit dance chart, M.I.A. said, "Nobody wants to be dancing to political songs. Every bit of music out there that's making into the mainstream is really about nothing. I wanted to see if I could write songs about something important and make it sound like nothing. and it kind of worked. It sounds like a pop song, but if you really listen to the lyrics, its about what I see on the telly and news and what's going on." Sounded like David rite? Black Tangerine & Ghost may not be as fresh & edgy as Galang but carried the same philosophy.
I just feel if Lee Hom wanna be taken seriously as a hip hop artist, he has to be more raw and explosive in his music. His brand of hip hop while very creative is bland & lacks the pulsating street creed of Galang & Sunflower. If you listen to M.I.A and then Lee Hom, you will find that chinese hip hop is still stuck somewhere in the 90s. I dun mean to offend Lee Hom fans but chinese fans need to be real & understand chinese hip hop cannot advance unless there is more criticism and less praise. M.I.A. also said she is the 'flip side' of Norah Jones, haha, the girl is real cute considering Norah is part Indian. There must be a chinese M.I.A somewhere out there waiting to be discovered in China's vast population.
A nicer writeup of David below:
Tao Zhe - A change of style
At the beginning of this month, Taiwan singer Tao Zhe released his latest album "Times of Peace and Prosperity." Within only a week, it had sold 900,000 copies in Asia, to surpass even the efforts of Jay Chow and Lee Hong Wong. Critics believe that this 35-year-old singer is approaching pop music from a unique angle, which divides him from his more obtuse peers.
It took Tao Zhe nearly two years to complete his new album "Times of Peace and Prosperity," which he says is aimed at satirizing the present pop climate. For Tao Zhe, pop music today is too commercialized and has become rotten thanks to its quest simply to entertain. Tao Zhe considers that it's his responsibility to wake up Asia's music fans, which he attempts to do on his new album with a serious change of style. Tao Zhe says that whereas before his music was grey, now it comes in the extremes of black or white. On the other hand, his lyrical style can be quite abstruse, with deeper meanings found beneath seemingly superficial love songs.
That was Ghost, a song which ponders the weighty subject of humanity.
"Love Me or Love Him" is apparently a song describing a triangular relationship, although on a personal level Tao Zhe says that he prefers a simple love life. The lives of modern people are increasingly complicated, and this musician hopes that his life, love and career could be as simple as possible; as you might expect during times of peace and prosperity.
Ever since his childhood, Tao Zhe has found it hard to get on with his mother, a Peking Opera performer. It's therefore quite surprising to find a song on this album composed specifically for his mother, although its subject matter suitably tells of the difficult relations between Tao Zhe and his mother. Interestingly, this song has its origins in the composition of one of Tao Zhe's fans, who posted his effort on the singer's official website. Originally it was a fairly rudimentary love song about this fan and his girlfriend. Tao Zhe was however instantly touched by its refrain and decided to recompose the piece for his new album.
If one of the reasons for the conflict between Tao Zhe and his mother was the different musical paths that they have chosen, this son has now greatly changed his attitude to his mother's preferred music, Peking Opera. When he was young, he could barely understand this traditional Chinese art form and even hated to hear it. But now he is becoming more and more aware that this music is a precious treasure of the Chinese race, and should be appreciated accordingly. In his latest album, he even creates a song which makes use of elements from Peking Opera. Indeed, the song's name, "Susan Says" is derived from a famous aria of this traditional opera. So let me leave you today with this unique song from Tao Zhe.
